Understanding uncertainty.
Building models that make a difference.
I develop computational and statistical methods to understand complex systems, connecting uncertainty quantification, machine learning, and scientific modeling.

I am an associate professor and Director of Statistical Programs in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver.
My research interests include surrogate modeling with machine learning methods, uncertainty and sensitivity analyses, Monte Carlo methods, hydrological modeling, and subsurface energy storage.
Before joining CU Denver, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Earth & Environmental Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, following graduate study at Florida State University.
